If I’m not growing, I’m dying. So I choose growth every time! “Mo hair,” my mom says. “Hope it grow,”
I reply. What once felt like a small saying is now a ritual, our black girl mantra , a seed planted in love. Hope It Grow became more than a phrase to me. It became a mirror.
Of who I was. Of who I’m becoming. Of who I’ve always been. Of who God created me to be. Being captured through the lens of my gifted friend @danielchimusoro, I can finally see Her!

Brainstorm + Inspo
This photoshoot started with a decision: stop asking, start creating. I stopped asking for a seat and decided to build my own table. This shoot will serve as a reminder to myself when desire turns into action. No waiting, no permission, just vision and execution. A bold step into creative direction, powered by trusting my instincts and owning my ability.
The concept was rooted in personal growth, recognizing how much I’ve evolved and translating that visually. To bring this to life, we intentionally sourced a local plant shop, aligning the environment with both the narrative and a commitment to supporting local spaces. Lighting played a key role in shaping the mood, creating an intimate yet playful atmosphere that enhanced the overall creative direction.

Our photoshoot took place at FERN, a local plant shop in College Hill, a neighborhood in Cincinnati, OH. Shout out to McKenna and Andrea for being so kind and opening their shop to us!
